Dedication Event: Please join us on Saturday, July 18th at 9:00 am. Dedication will be held in Little Stacy at the Jean Mather Shelter House. All neighbors and friends are encouraged to attend.
As of summer 2025, the historic structure in Little Stacy Park has been officially named in honor of SRCC’s co-founder, Jean Mather. The Austin Parks and Recreation department and Board approved SRCC’s application to name it.
Documentation of community support for the project included letters from colleagues, local officials and friends. A grant from the Austin Parks Foundation funded a commemorative marker sign. A dedication ceremony is to be held July 18, 2026.
