City of Austin District 9 Watershed Overview

watershed

Since SRCC is actively involved with the City of Austin Watershed Protection, and water quality remains a critical issue for the city overall, it is important for all of us to continuously be aware of watershed challenges as Austin grows. Elloa Matthews and the Austin Flood Mitigation Task Force (FMTF) have provided this helpful overview with infographics on the health of the District 9 watershed today. District 9 encompasses the downtown and UT campus areas.

The FMTF calls out priority problem areas with erosion and flooding concerns, and details Watershed Protection Department programs and capital projects in place to improve the District 9 watershed. Please review the profile document and also consult the Watershed Protection Department website.
