Following last week’s heavy rains, we are happy to report that for the first time since the 2012 completion of the $5 million Sherwood Oaks Storm Drain Project, the City has received no notices of flooding of homes or properties in the Sherwood Oaks neighborhood. Sherwood Oaks is located toward the southern end of the SRCC map, sharing a border with St. Edward’s University. Thanks to Elloa Matthews for the update. And a big thanks to City of Austin Watershed Protection, Public Works Department and SRCC members Marty Christman and Jeff Kessel for their work on this major project.

South River City Citizens is an Austin, TX, neighborhood association founded in 1972 to give the residents a voice in their community. SRCC covers Travis Heights, South River City, South Congress, St. Edwards and other parts of South Austin (Map Here).
